Our history

Danowsky & Partners was founded in 1993 by two lawyers from Sweden’s largest law firm at the time together with two lawyers from a leading investment bank. The firm initially focused on dispute resolution and transactions.

In 1995, the firm briefly joined Andersen Legal, which was the global legal services arm of Arthur Andersen, and opened a Gothenburg office.

In 1997, the firm left Andersen Legal and focused its operations in the Stockholm office.

In 2010, the firm moved into new, modern premises. The practice was expressly focused on tech, media, entertainment, communication, and other growth industries.

In 2013, the firm won the Swedish Law Firm of the Year award for the third consecutive year in the mid-size category with the overall highest client approval rating of all firms in all categories.

In 2015, the firm reached the SEK 50 million in annual fees for the first time and enjoyed its most profitable year to date.
